I've always been a teacher. Even from a young age I taught Sunday School, choreographed and taught young children dance and piano and I tutored. Musical theatre is a passion of mine, so I pursued it early on. However, even with my career in acting, the subconscious nudging that something was missing continued to nag at me. That is until one day, when I called and announced to my family that I was returning to school to pursue a masters degree in education. I was shocked to hear on the other end of the phone, "Good grief! What took you so long? We've been waiting for this phone call for a while now!" Apparently everyone else knew before I did that the classroom is my home!
After completing my masters degree, I taught on the south side of Chicago in Chicago Public Schools for two years. In 2013, my husband Jason (an Illinois native), daughter Avery and our two dogs Chloe and Penny relocated back to my home state of Colorado when I began my work at Lowry and with DPS. In June of 2015 we welcomed our son, Hudson into our family.
I am a proud DPS teacher and am glad to call the Lowry community my home!
