I became a teacher because I had a hard time learning to read and I strive to bring compassion and understanding to struggling students. I love working with culturally and linguistically diverse children. I am fluent in Spanish after living in La Serena, Chile as a teenager. My husband and I have three children, a dog and two cats. I began teaching in Albuquerque in 1998 and DPS in 1999. I have been an English as a Second Language teacher at Lowry since 2012.
