The Aviator Fund is an annual fundraising effort that raises money to pay for teaching and para positions. These additional teaching positions ultimately benefit all Lowry students, as they allow for more effective differentiation – teaching to each student at his or her individual level – and additional learning opportunities at the school.
The purpose is to enhance every child’s learning experience at Lowry Elementary by providing more opportunities for individualized attention and instruction at the student’s level.
The Aviator Fund strives for 100% participation.
The Aviator Fund is in its ninth year of raising significant funds with all monies going toward school priorities as established by Lowry Elementary’s Collaborative School Committee (CSC). The monies raised by the Aviator Fund support the Unified Improvement Plan which is a set of academic and other school-wide goals agreed upon by the CSC. Each year the needs at our school change based on budget cuts, enrollment numbers and what services and staffing levels that the district provides.
