LOWRY NEWS

December 7, 2017

Thank You for Helping Our Students SOAR!

PTO Meeting Schedule

There will not be a meeting in December.  Our next meeting will be January 17, 2018.  Stay tuned for more information!

Holiday Gifts for Support Teachers and Staff

The entire Lowry staff works every day to make our school a great place for our Lowry community.  The classroom teachers (and ECE/Kinder paraprofessionals) are generously thanked with gifts from their individual classes.

The Lowry PTO has a tradition of giving a holiday gift to each of the over 25 Lowry staff that does not have a classroom of kids.  (This includes the office staff, specials teachers, interventionists/specialists, the nursing staff, custodians, kitchen staff, etc.)

If you would like to donate, please put a check/cash in the black PTO mailbox in the office with check made out to Lowry PTO and labeled “Staff Gifts”. Donations will be accepted through Wednesday, December 13.  Your name will be on the card/gift given to every non-classroom staff member.  Gift amounts are based on the donations received, so every amount makes a difference.  Please send any questions to LowryPTO@gmail.com. Thank you for your generosity!

Innovation Requests

The Lowry Innovation Fund was created as part of the PTO’s financial policy. It is an avenue to award PTO funds in an organized manner to all Lowry stakeholders, including staff and parents. The money will be awarded for ideas that provide benefit to the Lowry students and community. If you have an idea you would like to submit, the Innovation Funds requests for spring are DUE Friday, December 15.  All requests approved by the board will be reviewed at the January PTO meeting on January 17, 2018.
