Multicultural Night ~Lowry families we are excited to announce that our first annual Multicultural night will be on March 7 from 5:00-6:30.  It will be a fun night to see musical performances, visit classrooms and learn about the countries they have been studying and taste yummy food from around the world.

TICKET OPTIONS:

VIP Ticket ~  $65 per person ~ these tickets include a bidder number, two free drink tickets, entry into a special drawing with a chance to win two Broncos tickets, and a party favor.

Auction Ticket ~ $45 per person ~ these tickets include a bidder number and a free drink ticket.

Party Ticket ~ $20 ~ these tickets include entry into the event to have fun with other Lowry parents and the other activities happening that evening.

Auction and VIP tickets will go up in price on April 1.

*** First 25 people to buy tickets will be entered into a Special drawing***

The auction and parents night out is a fun event and a great opportunity to spend a night out and get to know other Lowry parents.  This is Lowry’s biggest fundraiser and it could not happen without your support. The money that this fundraiser brings in provides so many great opportunities for our children.

Jump Rope for Heart~ our school has officially started Jump Rope for Heart with the American Heart Association. Make your child a member of the #ScareSquad & help us fight heart disease! 2018 CMAS Testing Dates for Lowry!  Please ensure your student is in school for testing these dates. NO smart watches or cell phones allowed in the classroom during testing! 

  • 3rdGrade: April 4, 5, 6 and April 10, 11, 12
  • 4thGrade: March 20, 21, 22 and April 10, 11, 12 and April 17, 18, 19
  • 5thGrade: March 20, 21, 22 and April 17, 18, 19 and April 23, 24, 25

 

Aviator Fund News ~ Dust off your skates for a fun family night at Skate City in Aurora on Friday, April 27 from 6:00 -8:00 pm.  Admission is only $5 and half of that will go back directly to the Aviator Fund.  Should be a fun event for all ages! More details to come!

Golf Squad class starts 3/5!! Registration is closing soon.  

We are very excited to get Golf Squad students back swinging at Lowry Elementary and registrations are now open through the link below. If you are already registered, can’t wait to start swinging again! If not, please do so quickly and help us spread the word to others who may enjoy golfing with us this semester by forwarding them this email.

The instructor is PGA MASTER PROFESSIONAL CHRIS SCHULTZ.  There are less than 150 master professionals in the US.  Chris has also just been nominated the Colorado Section PGA instructor of the year!

Girls on the Run returns to Lowry for the spring session!  The reduced $95 fee includes 10 weeks of training, entry into the Colfax 5k on May 19 and a race day t-shirt.

Girls on the Run will start next week. Girls on the Run inspires girls to a lifetime of self-respect and a healthy lifestyle through an innovative program that combines training for a 3.1 mile run/walk race with a fun, health education lesson plan. We will meet on Mondays from 3pm – 5pm at Lowry. Open to all third, fourth and 5th grade girls. For more information about the program go to www.girlsontherunrockies.org. Questions or want to coach?
