GG was selected as the student who represented our school at the state poster judging.  Forty-seven schools participated in this year’s contest.  The posters of all forty-seven winners will be displayed in the atrium of the Colorado State Capitol from April 20th through May 1st.

“Arbor Day Poster Contest” sponsors an annual poster contest that is open to students in 5th grade.  It is a great way for students to express and create a poster that reflects their understanding of the important role trees play in our community and how to celebrate trees.

Congratulations GG and a great job to all the 5th grade students for their wonderful entries!

From the Nurse~ as you may be aware, there has been a recall on many Epi-Pens within the last few weeks.  Nursing Services has been sending us the lot numbers as they receive the information.  Ms. Whitney and I are diligently checking the Epi-Pens to make sure they are still good.  If we find one that has been recalled, or expired, rest assured, we would be contacting you immediately.   If you have questions or concerns, as always please feel free to contact Ann King or Whitney Andreason.

Our second grade students are participating in the dental sealant program the week of May 8.  Letters and consents went out before spring break.  Your child will receive a dental screening, dental sealants, and fluoride application if needed. This program is a wonderful service, even if your child already has sealants!  They check to ensure the sealant is still good.  We hope you will allow your child to participate in this service.  If you still need a consent form/informational letter, please let us know.

Finally, check the “When to Keep Your Child at Home” flyer sent home today. Please note that any fever over 100 degrees needs to stay home 24 hours before the student can return. J
