All About Ms. Aileen Regan I love being a
part of the Lowry community. I want to tell you a little bit about myself. I
was born and raised here in Denver. All of my family still lives here in
Colorado. My mother and father are retired and live in the same house I grew up
in. I have 2 brothers, 1 sister and 2 sisters in law. I have four incredible
nephews. I also have a lovely 5-year-old daughter named Tatiana beginning
Kindergarten in Mrs. Jamie's class(pictured above). I went to Most
Precious Blood private school K-8th. After that I attended South
High School. During high school I worked for Young AmeriTowne and YMCA day
camps. I also was involved in children’s theater in a few Denver Public
Elementary Schools. I loved working with children so much that I went into
Elementary Education at University of Northern Colorado. I thought for a moment
I wanted to be an actress but I didn’t want to live my life as a tree on stage.
Teaching is my calling in life. I enjoy helping children learn and become
independent thinkers. I enjoy performing daily in front of 6, 7 and 8 year
olds. After college I
became a Director of Early Childhood Education at the Schlessman YMCA. I love
the little guys but knew I wanted to be with a little older crowd. Plus working
a 12-hour day and managing a staff was a lot of work. Next, I joined
the Beach Court staff. Beach Court is off of 50th and Federal. I
taught second grade there for four years and Reading Recovery for one year. I
absolutely loved working there but I bought a place in Lowry and wanted to work
closer to home. This
is my 4th year teaching 2nd grade at Lowry Elementary. I just completed my
Master's at Regis University and can't wait to apply all my new learning in the
classroom. I absolutely love and feel blessed to work in our school and
community. I can't wait to get to know your child and your family. Welcome to our classroom and let the
learning begin!!
