Self-portrait by Mr. Bloom
My story is like a palette of rich colors with vivid hues and endless variations of tints and shades. You may find simple color unified schemes as well as complex unexpected contrasts. For instance, after thundering up highway 40 on my big black and gold two wheeled cruiser, my son and I sat on the soft dirt bank of a pristine Colorado creek. Silent dragonflies and soft water sounds melted away city, highway, and exhaust. Our painting shifted from hot yellows and metallic chroma to a soft analogous evening blues and breezy greens.
Now, on the edge of this school year, I find a renewed palette of colors. This palette is ready to share with the joyous eager learners of Lowry Elementary School. I can’t wait to see their stories come to life with colors, textures, contrast, and unity.
