Lowry Elementary
I started teaching in 1975 as a third grade teacher in Denver Public Schools. I had the opportunity to teach at Harrington, Ellis, and Bromwell Elementary for 27 years. After leaving the classroom, I served as the assistant principal at Ellis Elementary for two years, and then became the principal at Lowry in the fall of 2004.
I hold a masters degree in elementary education with an emphasis on reading and writing. I loved teaching all subjects, but enjoyed presenting science lessons most of all! I received the Denver Teachers Award in 1996.
I am married and enjoy a blended family with four children. We have two yellow labs and enjoy hikes with them. I love golf (most days) and traveling!
My vision for Lowry Elementary is to become one of the most distinguished schools in the district. We will accomplish this by providing intentional, balanced, and differentiated instruction throughout the school. I LOVE Lowry!
