Hello, my name is Karen Gariano. I am a third grade teacher here at Lowry Elementary School. I have been teaching for twenty-five years in Denver. Coming to Lowry, four years ago, definitely allowed me to save the best for last! I feel so lucky every day to be at such a wonderful school with so many dedicated, hard-working students and teaching professionals.
I am the very proud mother of two grown-up children, Alana and Kyle. It seems like yesterday that they were in elementary school! (They have kept me young in spirit.) I also have a fantastic boyfriend, Barry, who does the same!
Karaoke and Trivia Night are just two of the weekly activities I enjoy. Exercising, watching TV, especially cable series, going to the movies, hanging out with friends, going to concerts and festivals, and taking short trips, fill my nights, weekends, and summers. It’s a busy, fun-filled life!
