Lowry Elementary is home to a STEM Lab where students are immersed in hands-on, problem based, and real-world experiences related to science, technology, engineering and math. All Kindergarten to Fifth Grade students participate in the STEM Lab as part of their Specials Rotation.
In the STEM Lab, students have opportunities to be problem solvers, risk takers, critical thinkers and innovators by taking positions on real world problems. Students are able to work through a combination of learning strategies as they discover the nature of a problem, understand the variables involved and gain different perspectives of those affected.
