Hi! My name is Paul Mezzacapo, and I hail from Long Island, New York up until 2001. I have a Masters’ in Early Childhood Education, and I’ve been in the ECE field in different capacities since 2002. ECE is my preferred age to work with due primarily to the sensitive brain developmental period for social and emotional skill development. Also, I enjoy being part of children’s first experience in school, so I can help set a foundation for the disposition to learn by fostering feelings of safety, connection and curiosity along with academic challenge. I have extensive training and experience in Conscious Discipline, Lowry Elementary’s approach for classroom management and social emotional development. I also train teachers and parents on Conscious Discipline. Outside of school you can find me spending quality time with my creative and fun daughter, hiking, paddleboarding, playing the ukulele and just spending time in nature.
