Message from Dr. Larkin:
As we move deeper into the winter months, I want to remind you about school delays, cancellations, and weather procedures at school.
Delays and cancellations will be communicated by the school district. You should receive an email, phone call, and/or text message from DPS.
You can also check a local news station, DPS social media, or the DPS website for updates.
DPS attempts to make a weather-related call by 5 a.m. If you are interested in learning about how DPS makes decisions about weather, visit the DPS Weather page.
If the weather is above 20° and the playground is safe, we will be outside for recess. If you need cold-weather gear for your child, reach out to Ms. Patricia.
During morning drop-off, students will remain outside until 8:10 a.m. unless the temperature is below 20° and there is active precipitation.
Next week, our Kindergarten-5th grade students will be participating in winter concerts (see Important Dates below for dates/times). Prior to the concerts, students will learn about the routines and behavioral expectations for the concert. We are asking parents to discuss these with your child(ren) and model them during the concert. Students will be asked to:
Stay in their seats during the concert until it is time for their class/grade-level to perform. This will allow everyone to see all performances without obstruction. Family members are asked to stay seated as well and make sure you do not block other viewers when you are recording those adorable performances! If you would like to stand to record, you can do so from behind the audience chairs.
Remain at “Level 0”. This means that students are not talking during and between performances.
Clap for all students.
Thank you for your cooperation and support to ensure the success of our winter concerts!

They do not need menstrual products. If you would like to donate money to the drive, click here.
