Message from Dr. Larkin:

The year is flying along, but we are still focused on student learning and reaching our target of 80% of our students reading at/above grade level. We have 7 more progress monitoring cycles until our end-of-year testing. In order for your students to reach their maximum potential, we need them at school–our students who are making the most gains are the students who are consistently present at school! We love seeing your students and their continued academic and social-emotional progress.

In order to decrease the volume of communication you receive, the Lowry Family Update will be

shared every other week (beginning after Spring Break). I encourage you to check our school website for updates and changes on the weeks that I do not send official communication.

Practice a New Language:

In honor of St. Patrick's Day, we’re featuring Irish Gaelic (Gaeilge) — one of the traditional languages of Ireland that is still taught and spoken today. Try practicing the phrase together at home and surprise someone with your Irish greeting on March 17! 🍀

Phrase to Try:

Lá Fhéile Pádraig sona duit!

(law AY-luh PAW-drig SUN-uh ditch)

Translation:

“Happy St. Patrick’s Day!”

In partnership,

Dr. Annie Larkin
