The Read and Rise program is an engaging training designed to teach literacy skills to families who want to make reading a dynamic and fun experience for their children at home. We have been preparing for months, and we are finally ready to begin!
Why join Read and Rise? We know how much you care about your child’s success, and we believe every parent in our community has a unique and special contribution to make. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other local parents, discuss common interests, and build a supportive network.
Program Perks & Support:
Childcare: We provide childcare on-site so you can focus on the program.
Incentives: Participants will receive exciting giveaways, including gift cards, museum tickets, and "Parent Champion" bags!
Flexibility: If there are one or two sessions you cannot attend, you are still more than welcome to participate!
Event Details:
Location: Southeast Community Hub
Date & Time: May 5 from 1 to 3pm
Space is Limited! We currently have only 10 openings left in the program. We are looking to fill these final spots quickly and would love to have your family join us. Can we save a place for you? Please reply to this email or click here to sign up.

Join the PTO!
Just kidding (sort of)! The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) doesn't always know the scoop, but we are heavily involved in the school! Joining the PTO allows parents/guardians to help make decisions about activities for students, staff, and the community, as well as fundraising and supporting our school as a whole. We need more parent/guardians involved in all aspects of our PTO, but especially our Board.
On Thursday, April 16, we'll be selecting our new Board members. If you are interested in joining the Board, please complete the Interest Form by Monday, April 13 at 6 p.m. (it will be sent via email on 4/8).If more than 1 person is interested in a position, we will hold an election on April 16; if we only have 1 person for each position, a slate of officers will be presented for approval at the meeting.
If you would like more information about each position before completing the form, check out the overview in the email message.
In addition needing Board members, we have a number of committee chairs/coordinators that need to be filled for 2026-2027. Come to our meeting on April 16 to learn more and find out how you can help.
Please reach out to the PTO with questions (lowrypto@gmail.com).
