Heather Mills is a Colorado native. She is a product of DPS and has worked in DPS for 23 years. Her career began with teaching 4th and 5th grade students, and then she moved to a first and second multi-aged classroom, where she taught for nine years. After the birth of her daughter she moved to half time and became a literacy coach and math interventionist at Teller Elementary.. Even though she missed the classroom she loved building a passion for math with students, and supporting teachers as a coach. After her kids reached school age, she continued her role as math interventionist, and helped launch Lowry’s teacher residency program. The following year, Heather was so lucky to move to Lowry full time and is so excited to continue her work with the residency program while also working with Lowry teachers and students.
