FLIGHTS (MI-A Center)

FLIGHTS stands for Fostering Learners and Instilling Genius Here to Soar!

The FLIGHTS program is a Multi-Intensive Autism Center serving students in Kindergarten-2nd grades.

The programming is based on evidence or research-based curriculum, instruction, and methodology that addresses the unique learning, communication, and social needs of students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Additionally, the programming is individualized and linked to state standards. Decisions regarding curriculum modifications are based on reliable and consistent data-collection methods. The programming provides a variety of developmental, functional, and age-appropriate activities and experiences with an overarching focus on independence in the classroom and beyond.  Program components include highly structured, individualized programming; communication; language training; positive behavior programming; access to sensory support, and as appropriate and determined by the IEP team, access to the general education setting and peers.
