Volunteer
Parents and guardians are welcome to volunteer in a variety of different aspects of our school. Parent volunteers are welcomed in the following areas and more:
- Classroom Liaison – Coordinate class parties and the class auction project.
- Garden – Work with classrooms to plant, maintain and harvest produce from our Victory Garden. Help maintain the garden throughout the summer months.
- PTO Committees – There are a wide variety of of PTO Committees that coordinate the activities and projects of our PTO. These include: Science Fair, Auction, Fun Run, Book Fair, Carnival, Spirit Wear. Contact our PTO President if you are interested in one of these positions.
- Classroom Field trips – Each grade level participates in at least 1 field trip per year. If you are interested in chaperoning your child’s field trip, please contact the classroom teacher. All chaperones must be background checked.
- Scholastic Book Fair – The Scholastic Book Fair comes to Lowry each fall! If you are interested in helping with the book fair, contact the Lowry PTO. Volunteers must be background checked.
- Lowry Flight Crew – The Lowry Flight Crew is a group of volunteers who are interested in helping as their availability allows, without the time commitment or pressure of spearheading an activity. Reach out to the Lowry PTO for more information or to sign up for the Flight Crew.

All Parent Volunteers who have contact with students must complete a DPS Background Check. Please note that the background check can take 2 to 3 weeks to complete.
